Josh + Alissa // MARRIED | New Hampshire Wedding Photographer

Not everyone gets a chance to get ready for their wedding in their childhood home, but I love when I get the chance to photograph it when that happens. There's something special about being able to step back into a familiar space with your old furniture, family photos, and the people you love when you're about to officially tie the knot and become your own family unit.

After getting the girls 90% ready at their home, we ventured 10 minutes down the road in the ice, slush, and snow (oh yeah, did I mention it was a winter wedding?) to a beautiful church in Rochester, NH where the ceremony would be held. The groomsmen were in the middle of getting ready with about an hour left until the start of the wedding.

Shoes on, gowns steamed, hair sprayed, and all the last minute touches were made!

Don't you just love the way the bride's mom is looking at her daughter right after putting on her veil? (cue heart eye/crying emojis)

And you can't forget the way Alissa surprised the crowd by taking the mic and serenading her groom with the song, "Can't Help Falling In Love With You." Waterworks by the groom WAS HAD, let me tell you. (shameless plug here to get a second shooter for your wedding so you can capture images of both the bride and the groom at different angles like the one above!)

Ceremony is over, time for hugs and laughs!

And of course, snowy portraits.

We ended the night with tacos and dancing, which, in my opinion, is the best way to end a night of partying.
